Bryan Blackford won his first race of the season at Darlington Raceway Monday night in the GSR Truck Series. It couldn't have come at a better time either. Blackford, who came in 27 points behind Tyler Hudson for the outright lead, took the points lead from Hudson after his win. The race was marred by several caution flags near the beginning of the event. By the end of the night, only 15 trucks were left running on the track and of those 15, only 9 of them were on the lead lap. It was a race of survival, unlike many of the races GSR has had this season. 

Hudson had a terrible night. After driving to the lead, Tyler slipped back on a round of pit stops which allowed Chris Henion to start along side. Henion and Hudson made contact which sent Tyler spinning and hard into the turn 1 wall.

(Dover, DE) This past monday night marked Race #1 of the GSRacing.net Chase to the Championship for its elusive Trucks series in the Shop Night 125. Tyler Hudson would enter the night with a 60 point lead accumulated from his 6 victories entering the Chase. A scare early in the race on a Restart found Tyler scrape the Turn 2 wall after contact with another vehicle. The #33 of Ray Alfalla would dominate much of the race leading a total of 70 laps. Midway through the Shop Night 125, yound Josh parker began to mount his charge to the front from his 25th starting position. With just 34 laps to go, parker would make his way to Alfalla and take over the points as both Hudson and Alfalla began to fade with slightly older tires.

On December 19th at 3pm ET Richie B's ISRL Truck Series will be broadcasting a 500 mile Christmas Invitational at Talladega Superspeedway. Watch 188 laps of pure adrenaline, high intensity door banging, bumper to bumper excitement at close to 200 mph. A $500 purse structure has been created to reward those lucky enough to make the main event. This televised event will be live on the internet not cable television so tune in for some exciting racing during Nascar's off-season!

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Landon Cassill is pleased to announce the formation of a new online competition that gives iRacing drivers the opportunity to win $1,000. The Landon Cassill Qualifying Challenge invites iRacing drivers to feel the pressure of a one lap qualifying showdown at the simulated Charlotte Motor Speedway. The winner of the December 18th event will receive $1,000.

The Landon Cassill Qualifying Challenge will be hosted by stprocup.com on Saturday December 18th with preliminary rounds on Friday, December 17th. In the main event, each driver will pilot a Chevrolet Impala SS with a provided, fixed setup for one lap, one at a time, with the fastest qualifier pocketing $1,000.
